The Hardware is supplied on a ‘self-install basis’. You will be required to plug it into your computer / socket. Some of the equipment supplied is bundled with other services. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your contract for information or contact our customer care team who will be happy to assist you.

Securing your Device

Prior to using the device -Clear Networks strongly advise customers to change the password once they receive the equipment to ensure the device is secure to prevent a device being hacked or tampered with.

It is the customer’s responsibility to secure the device. The Clear Networks Technical support team are happy to assist with this.

Replacement Warranty

All equipment is governed by a 12 month manufacturers warranty period.

If your Clear supplied hardware develops a problem, you’ll first need to contact Clear Technical Support on 1300 855 215 or alternatively email support@clearnetworks.com.au

As per the terms of your agreement, you will be asked to participate in troubleshooting to determine the issue of your hardware. It is important that you contact us as soon as you are aware there is an issue with your hardware.

If we’re not able to resolve the fault remotely, and the equipment is under warranty, we’ll send you a pre-configured replacement unit along with details on how to return the faulty unit at our cost.

If the faulty equipment is not returned to us within 14 days, complete with cables and accessories, or if we determine that the returned equipment was not supplied by Clear Networks, you will be charged for the replacement equipment and freight costs. You’ll also be charged if the returned unit is found to be faulty due to accidental or deliberate damage, however caused, or is faulty due to misuse.

Hardware that is sent for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired or we may use refurbished parts to repair the goods. If your equipment is replaced with refurbished equipment, the warranty for the refurbished equipment remains under the original Warranty period or for 30 days – whichever is greater. You are entitled to a refund for a major failure.

Equipment Not Under Warranty

If the faulty equipment is not under warranty, and we’re not able to resolve the fault remotely, we’ll offer to sell you a pre-configured replacement unit. We cannot guarantee the same model will be available.

If you accept our offer, we’ll send the replacement equipment to you (within 48 business hours) and charge it to your Clear Networks account. The amount will be payable on your next Invoice.

Clear supplied hardware comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
